A Silent Call for Help

A Silent Call for Help - Marius Cepulis Photography

Carp - Game Over..!!! Osprey swoops to seize the prey, and lifts stunned looking fish straight out of the water. This is the jaw dropping moment that an osprey plucked a carp from a lake. At least, it was for his victim. The hopeless fish out of water's mouth was left agape at the surprise at being snatched from his natural habitat and lifted high into the air.Perhaps one should be wary of reading too much emotion in the facial expression of a fish, but this one was surely horrified at the prospect of becoming a bird of prey's next meal.
Marius Cepulis hid out in the reeds by the Birveta fishponds in Ignalina, Lithuania, for hours to capture the moment of the carp's demise. Marius has won a Lithuanian National Wildlife Photography Contest - 2013 for this image, which he has titled "A Silent Call for Help".

Perhaps one should be wary of reading too much emotion in the facial expression of a fish, but this one was surely horrified at the prospect of becoming a prey of bird's next meal.

This carp's jaw appears to have dropped in surprise at being suddenly plucked from its home pond and whisked away to be this osprey's fish supper.

Kid n' Pup - Jessica Shyba

The Kid n' Puppy having a sweet nap time - Jessica Shyba Photography

At the time that Beau’s mom, JESSICA SHYBA a professional photographer and blogger first shared the story about Theo the puppy, and Beau her kid, they were only a couple weeks into this adorable tradition. And, as we all know, puppies and babies change fast and go through sometimes very brief stages, so it wouldn’t have been surprising if Theo and Beau’s nap time ritual would have already come to an end by now.

The inseparable pair can be seen dozed off in various positions. Whether the two are wrapped, arms and legs, around each other, lying side by side, or even spooning, there's a clear sense of unconditional love between them. They’re still just as tired and adorable as ever each afternoon.

And here are the latest pics to prove it…
